Can you say Martha Stewart Wedding?

Last week I was excited to see that I was in the Martha Stewart Weddings: Something Blue article. I have a picture of the groom and groomsmen on the stairs in swanky, navy blue blazers. Check it out! It’s a good thing…

Let the updating begin!

It’s been a wonderful & busy last few months! The weddings I have done have been fantastic!! I have also done a handful of engagement shoots and have met some great couples along the way. I desperately need to update my blog & web-site with hundreds of new pictures and recent activity. Stay tuned for much, much more!

Sun Kissed

Sun Kissed

Sun Kissed

Lisa & Ranole got married at the lovely Alba Vineyards in Milford, NJ. It was such a beautiful wedding and the weather was perfect. It was definitely tricky shooting in direct, strong sunlight without any available shade or coverage, so I decided to use it to my advantage. I took a nice sleuth of shots using the sun as a back light.  Something about silhouettes that I find intriguing and just love.

Let it begin!

I can’t believe we’re already past mid-May! Typically May 1st is when the busy wedding season begins, but for me, I had some nice ones in April and March which were both busy for me. I actually have this upcoming weekend open surprisingly. However  this past weekend, I had weddings on both Sat. & Sun and the last weekend in May I have another double header weekend.  I’ve been so lucky and fortunate though that the weddings I have been shooting have been wonderful. The couples have been so nice and easygoing and the venues have been stellar. I look forward to some more amazing weddings this season. I think I have about 30-35 more to shoot for the year and have shot about 10 so far in 2010. I am bringing forth some additional new techniques that I can’t wait to incorporate into my shooting regiment. Let me get crackin’ and post some more pics on this blog of mine. PLease stay tuned!

Resh & Josh’s Fort Tyron Park Maternity Shoot

DSC_5556sTwo Sunday’s ago I got to shoot one of my favorite past wedding couples, Reshma & Josh. I shot their lovely multi-faith wedding back a few years ago at Tavern on the Green. One of their wedding shots I took even made it into The Knot Magazine.  Well, a few years and a baby bump later I had the fun privilege  shooting their maternity shoot at the gorgeous Ft. Tyron Park. So much fun!! We met up at the New Leaf Cafe and went onwards from there. Resh was such a trooper, walking up stairs, walking down hills for being 8 months pregnant! lol  Overall, a great time and I can’t wait to see the little guy!

Lori & David’s Liberty House Wedding

DSC_7367s

This past Sunday I got to shoot Lori & Dave’s Liberty House wedding in  Liberty State Park in Jersey City. I just adore Liberty State Park with it’s great Manhattan views, the wrap around promenade with views of the Statue of Liberty and of course the old abandoned train depot, which was surprisingly open to the public.  Most of the day rained so it was vital to take advantage of  any outdoor shots when the rain slightly dissipated, which it did twice throughout the day. There was a mystical fog hovering above Manhattan which created this subdued, tranquil vibe. Lori & Dave wanted tons of candid shots, and the shot above definitely was. What you didn’t see was the videographer’s microphone that they were holding while they were saying something into the video camera. I took the opportunity to capture their natural reactions.  For those who know my work, you know I love capturing those great candid shots showing tons of natural expressions and reactions..fun!!!

I’m Baaaack!

Hey everyone! It’s been quite a while since I have posted anything and that shouldn’t be! So much has been happening on my end. For those who don’t know I finally moved into my new place. It’s still a work in progress that’s for sure. It was 2 months of demolition, construction, and everything else combined so I was definitely running around like a chicken without it’s head..I am starting to feel a bit more settled. My office space/studio is currently getting completely overhauled with new flooring, stairs and everything else. The new bathroom is looking nice and shiny down there. Once it’s all complete I’ll definitely feel fully settled but until then, it’s working at a bootleg work station with all of my files and paperwork still in boxes..eek! It’ll be worth it. The new office space will be a great place to meet clients and for them to see all of my work displayed and in the flesh…Exciting!!

Even though I have been MIA, which I feel frustrated about I have been also keeping busy with a few corporate shoots, e-shoots and weddings. I have a lot of great images to post and to share with the world.  May is just around the corner and my wedding season picks up in full swing. I am definitely primed and ready to shoot! It should be a wonderful wedding season and can’t wait to shoot all of the wonderful weddings I have lined up.

I’ll keep you all posted! Thanks for following…
